Need an Architect or Consultant?
Historic preservation and archaeological consultants may be beneficial
for certain projects, such as:
- Complex rehabilitation projects and historic rehabilitation
projects involving tax incentives
- Nominations to historic registers
- Projects requiring environmental review, shoreline permits,
etc.
The Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic
Preservation maintains a list of qualified consultants on its website.
Name Changes
Proposing a Name Change
Requests for name changes must be made in writing to the Landmarks
Preservation Commission. Per Council Resolution #38091, the
Landmarks Preservation Commission will review the request and make a
recommendation to the appropriate City Council committee. The
entire process usually takes about 3 months.
