Studio Tours
November 8 & 9, 2008
10 am - 4 pm
38 locations around Tacoma

2008 marks the 7th anniversary of the Art at Work studio tours, featuring 61 artists and 2 schools. The tours allow the general public the opportunity to see the spaces in and tools with which local artists create their work. It is also a chance to watch demonstrations, ask artists questions, purchase one-of-a-kind creations and, in some cases, even try your hand at creating your own masterpiece.

Back by popular demand: Each artist and studio will be giving away a limited number of collectible artist cards, which, when assembled together, create a house of cards.  Each card features an image of the artists’ work and information about the artist. Visit each studio on the tour to collect the entire set of cards.

Check back in October for the entire 2008 Studio Tour brochure which will have information about each of the artists on the tour as well as a map of locations and the studio tour schedule which lists what studios are open on what days. You will also be able to pick up a copy of the Art at Work brochure, which contains the Studio Tour brochure, at many cultural locations around Tacoma in beginning in October.
